The Telangana elections have become a focal point for various political parties, each strategizing and vying for support and influential individuals. The ruling BRS and the BJP are notably making strides in their campaigns, seeking additional backing from diverse social classes and regions.

It is widely known that both these parties are engaging in discussions behind closed doors to garner support from neighboring state. Speculations are ripe that they are particularly looking towards the YCP, for support, primarily targeting the Reddys and settlers in Telangana.

Reports suggest that the BRS and BJP are seeking favor from the YCP. KCR, the leader of BRS, had expressed support for the Jagan government in AP during the 2014 and 2019 AP elections. The 2019 elections saw apparent open support from BRS to the YCP. Consequently, the BRS is now expecting reciprocal support from the YCP. Similarly, the BJP, aiming for power in Telangana, is allegedly in talks with Jagan, who has a friendly association with them.

Amidst this political scenario, the stance of YCP chief Jagan is anticipated. The situation is delicate, as if YCP cooperates with BRS, it might upset the BJP, and if it doesn’t, it could be seen as a betrayal to KCR. In light of these dynamics, there is speculation that YCP might opt for a neutral role in the upcoming Telangana elections.
