There are restaurants won't allow paid patrons to enter without proper dress code. Why not employer expect their employee to dress decently?

It is not new in India. Most of the Indian IT companies have some sort of dress code. I think some companies allows business casuals (polos, jeans) entire week. They might be just reiterating for new hires who never stepped in to any office in their life.

This is the problem with entitled mindset of Gen Z. Number of hours we spend in the office are owned by employer, he sets the rules. If you like play by it, if not you have choice to go on your own way.
