JR is slapstick silly comedy, new to Telugu audience. They don't know how to describe it, so they bundle it with kullu comedy like jabardast. Yes, there is some overlap..

Old age comedy will never return back. Those days of Brahmi leading the Pack with Ali, MS Narayana, Sunil all gone for good.

Asalu last 10 years lo okka genuine comedy movie leedhu.. yentha seepu chempa meedha kotti comedy cheyyatam thappa.

Also, Jabardasth laanti cheap comedy ki alavaatu padda janam, ika veere vaatini digest cheesukooreemo. The whole point of Jabardasth - body shaming via black skin, obesity, Old age, lean body, facial features and insulting a profession.
