నా భర్త చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారు లేకుండా తొలిసారి తిరుమల వెళ్ళాను. ఎప్పుడూ కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో ఊరు వచ్చే నేను అయన జైల్లో ఉన్న కారణంగా ఈరోజు ఒంటరిగా నారావారిపల్లె వెళ్ళాను. ఈ ప్రయాణం నాకు ఎంతో బాధ కలిగించింది. ప్రతి నిమిషం భారంగా గడిచింది. ఆ ఏడుకొండల వాడి దయతో, మా ఊరు నాగాలమ్మ తల్లి కృపతో, ప్రజల మద్దతుతో నిజం గెలుస్తుందని నమ్ముతున్నాను. దీనిలో భాగంగా చంద్రగిరిలో రేపు తొలి అడుగు వేస్తున్నాను.

ఢిల్లీ నుంచి చెన్నై వెళ్తున్న ఏదో ఒక ఎయిర్ లైన్స్ వారి బోయింగ్ 777 విమానం లో పబ్లిక్ అనౌన్స్ మెంట్ సిస్టమ్ ఆన్ అయింది.

"నేను మీ కెప్టెన్ ని మాట్లాడుతున్నాను. మీ ముందు ఉన్న సీట్ వెనక ఉన్న మ్యాప్ లో ఇప్పుడు మనం ప్రయాణిస్తున్న లొకేషన్ కనిపిస్తోంది చూడండి"

అందరూ చూశారు. మ్యాప్ ఉంది, దాని మీద విమానం బొమ్మ ఉంది కానీ అది ఏ ఊరో లేదు. దీనికి అంత ప్రత్యేకత ఏమిటో అని ప్రయాణీకులు ఆశ్చర్యపోతూండగా కెప్టెన్ గొంతు మరోసారి వినిపించింది.

"ఇది చిన్న పట్టణం కాబట్టి దాని పేరు మ్యాప్ లో కనిపించడం లేదు. దీని పేరు రాజమండ్రి. ఇక్కడ జైలులో ప్రపంచానికి ఐటీని పరిచయం చేసిన మహానుభావుడు చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారిని జైలులో పెట్టారు. గత నలభై ఏడు రోజులుగా ఆయన అక్కడ మగ్గిపోతూ ఉన్నారు" అని గద్గద స్వరంతో తన్నుకొస్తున్న ఏడుపును దిగమింగుతూ గబగబా చెప్పేసి, తన ఏడుపు వినపించకుండా సిస్టమ్ ఆపేశాడు.

వార్తలు ఫాలో అయ్యవారు, చంద్రబాబు అరెస్టు గురించి తెలిసిన వారు ఆ విషయం గుర్తు రాగానే బావురుమన్నారు. ప్రపంచం ఎటుపోయినా పట్టకుండా, తమ లోకంలో తాము ఉండే కొందరు సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ బ్రహ్మీలు  టక్కున పైకి లేచి "ఏమిటి నా లాంటి కోట్ల మందికి బ్రతుకుతెరువు చూపించిన ఆయన జైలులో ఉన్నారా?" అని తమ పక్కన, ముందూ, వెనుకా ఉన్న వారిని అడగడం మొదలుపెట్టారు కళ్ళ నిండా నీటితో. అవునని ఎవరో సమాధానం చెప్పగానే, కూర్చుని ఉన్న ప్రయాణీకుల మీద, ఒడిలో పడి కిటికీలో నుంచి తొంగి చూసే ప్రయత్నం చేసి, ఏమీ కనిపించక పోయే సరికి, చేతులు జోడించి మనసులో ఆయన త్వరగా బయటకు రావాలని ప్రార్ధన చేశారు.

విమానంలో ప్రయాణిస్తున్న వారిలో బాబుగారి అరెస్టు గురించి తెలియని వారు అటూఇటూ ఉన్న వారితో ఆ సంగతి చర్చిస్తూ, తెలిసిన వారు ఆయన గొప్పతనం గురించి గుర్తు చేసుకుంటూ, మరికొంతమంది ఆయనను అరెస్టు చేసిన వారికి శాపనార్థాలు పెడుతూ, మరికొంత మంది ప్రపంచం అంతమయ్యే ముందు ఇలాంటి విపరీతాలు జరుగుతాయని బ్రహ్మంగారు కాలజ్ఞానంలో ఎప్పుడో రాశారని చెప్తూ విమానం గోలగోలగా మారిపోయింది!

సరిగ్గా అప్పుడే కిందున్న "రాజమండ్రి రైలు విలేఖరి" విమానం నుంచి కారుతున్న పసుపు నీటిని గమనిస్తూ ఏదో రాసుకుంటూ హౌరా వైపు తన సమోసాల బుట్టతో పయనం సాగించాడు...
