This was done by carefully by removing gold standard tied to currencies and tying them to USD and taking over the Oil trade. So the federal reserve will have the true say in the monterey policies. It's since then the rupee was kept in free fall in favour of USD. India has been growing at over 6.5-7% on avg for the last two decades but the rupee never strengthened. It's by design.

That's a way to keep truth in the public and mock it.  Conspiracy= bunch of people planning something bad , Theory= A thoughtful construct or an idea to explain things. People still laugh at it, because of two reasons.

1. Either they don't think it's truth or 

2. There is very little they can do about it.

The truth has been always out there. No country except Russia has dared to tie their currencies to gold. Those that tried, their leaders were assassinated or executed e.g. Saddam, Gaddafi. BRICS isn't able to do much about it although they acknowledge it.

Chinese do the same, they deliberately manipulate their currency to keep subsided to keep trade balance in their favour.
