Go with No deductible. Usually there will be a one time fee of $250 or something like that. Best option. ee bills vagaira tension undadu.

Don’t worry. They have to take. Mine and most of friends have HMO and never had issues like that.

naa case lo separate is better. 

Maa insurance lo "Spouse Premium" ani okati untundi. If spouse has access to work place benefits and decided not to use them, then I have to pay extra money on top of the insurance. That comes to be approx $1500 per year. So we decided to keep separate since her insurance is also pretty good. This component started in the last 2 years for me.

I'm in a similar situation. I wanted to add my spouse to my plan as she is contracting right now and the insurance provided is not that great.

But my plan now charges 100$ per month extra as a surcharge for adding her(since she had benefits from her employer).

Any chance I can avoid this surcharge? How will they know if my wife does receive benefits?

IDK how they will check. 

Ilanti vishayallo when/if they audit it gets very nasty and anni kalipi vasool chestaru. I would rather not lie on these, anthe.

HSA has to be a part of the Medical plan you choose. Ee plans ni HSA plans ani advertise chestaru. If you enroll in these ones, you have the option to specify how much you want to contribute to HSA. Even though its your employers plan, HSA is always your account. You can spend money from it for medical expenses for your family.
