I'm wife to an executive producer in the southern cinema industry. My husband had produced for both the small and the big screen. Over the years, he has seen and I guess, experienced a lot as well. I also have a circle in the industry and together we share a lot of juicy gossips, most of which are true. So here are some 'known but unverified truths' from the industry. I'll not take names directly, but you'll know from the references.

 

1. The casting couch is real and even the biggest names of the industry have had to go through that. I have also had to offer some to get my husband some advantage in a few situations.

 

2. Producers and directors take advantage of a lot of young talent. As you can imagine, not everything works on talent and contacts here. In an industry obsessed with skin show, there's always someone willing to cross the lines. Sometimes situations do get messy. Most producers etc have fixers who settle these matters with money or otherwise.

 

3. The Kaavala girl has been a hot item for quite some time. She got gangbanged for her first Tamil role, at a time when she was very new and nubile. Apparently both the director and his brother had a lot of fun with her together. For her movie 100%, she gave a lot more than 100% to the producer. 7. The 'Manasa' girl was the hottest thing in the market when she debuted. That was crazy amount of interest in who will get in her pants first. Ultimately the honours went to Vamsi and then to baahubali. In select circles it is known that she has a high tolerance for pain and drugs. 

 

8. The recent 'Jawan' success girl has had her escapades before settling down. Prabhu Deva had a lot of fun with her and shared her in his circles and so did Simbu. To the point that she actually got pregnant with one of these two and had to get therapy to come out of her depression. Sad, but true.
