Oka coleague hitabodha chesadu a few yrs back ...

You are passionate and a top performer and I am a so-so. You get a rating of 4.5/5 and I get a 3.5or 3/5. But at the end of the day your merit increase is 3% and mine is 2.5%. At max $50 or less in paycheck. Danikosam inta pani cheyadam avasaramaa ani ... 

Kept me thinking .. is it really worth it ...

BTW bonus for both is same as long as we are in same grade.

BTW bonus for both is same as long as we are in same grade. 

not completely true , it changes case by case . bonus is dependent on performance. in our case A rating gets 50% more than B rating in both bonus and hike.

Rating is what determines your promotion .

nothing wrong in settling at a same position without a promotion . but there is definitely a difference career wise and financials wise
