Transman Logan Brown has published a children's book based on her experience of getting pregnant and giving birth.

The book In My Daddy's Belly: The Story of a Transgender Dad Giving Birth, offers a first-person perspective of the challenges faced by pregnant transmen.

The biography is marketed as being "accessible to children of all ages and easy to understand," and conveys the message "it doesn't matter what your family looks like, as long as you are safe and loved."

Alongside the narrative, the book provides a series of interactive questions about transgenderism and links to educational charities.

Prominent women's rights campaigner Kellie Jay Keen responded to news of the book's release with an acerbic post on X.

She wrote: "There was a young woman who told her kid lies, I don’t know why she told her kid lies, hope she cries".

In March 2023, 28-year-old Brown fell pregnant with her partner Bailey J Mills, a non-binary "clown" performer from Lincolnshire.

She rose to prominence for her blog Up The Duff Man before giving birth to her daughter Nova Mills Brown.

"I wanted to create a space for myself and others to learn and understand the journey, here you can find resources, support and post’s on my pregnancy journey :)" she said.

She also found fame as the first 'pregnant man' to appear on the cover of Glamour magazine.

In the interview with the magazine, Brown explained she became pregnant after reducing her intake of testosterone due to health complications.

Women who take male testosterone to transition can sometimes loose the ability to ovulate and become pregnant.

"One day, I had this really weird feeling," she said. "It was early in the morning and Bailey was asleep. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.

"I’d been off testosterone for a while due to some health issues. It was like my whole world just stopped. All my manlihood that I’ve worked hard for, for so long, just completely felt like it was erased.

"I had to get to the point of being confident with who I am and being a pregnant man."

The book will retail for £15 and is being sold by Bigger Picture Books.
