coming in 20s, starting a life here and settling is different than someone coming for first time in 40s with family and starting a life. lot of factors come into play.

if he comes througha witch company witha 100k salary imagine how tough life will be.

Are you saying people who came here in 20s are all making 200k per year?

I did come here in my early 20s. and I make no where close to 200k. Its all in perspective.

I think India is not suitable for poor or middle class. Period.

Unless you are uber rich, run away from India. Its a S***** hole if you are not wealthy.

stayed in the US for more than 10 years and came back to India recently.

What was your thinking to go back to India? Did you achieve your goals. Are you second guessing your decision?

They don’t have to make $200k. Instead saying 20s lo raavadam- we can say pre Covid or 8-10 years ago. Those people might have already made enough - own a house or have good savings. If you come in 2023 at the age of 40 - you need to start everything like buying house, car etc. with $100k in any decent size city it’s pay check to pay check - no trips nothing..

point is who came in 20's have better chance of making it to 200's

there are many who came in 30's are still making above 250K

India is not suitable for middle class which compares with others for everything, India is a paradise if one see the invaluable things that are not there in US

a man who came to US in 20's does not think his children needs to be part of a community, think money can buy everything, once he turns 30's and kids, he will realize what were lost and repents in 40's. by this time, they can clearly quantify what has been lost in search for money

India anta istam aite vellipovachu lanti ideas are not welcome, after spending so much time outside country, you dont have a choice but play the chorus.

What percentage of vomericans make 200k per year? Forget about vomerica. Tell me what is median global per capita income? As I said, these are self created goals and standards. I bet less than 3% of americans make that kind of money. And we are talking about America here. Which is considered as yard stick for opportunities.

Based on your narrative it seems like people who came here are in 20s have nothing but regrets. Yet, they cannot return back to India since they are struck here socially?

I bet less than 1% of Indians return back. I know thousands of people who speak about returning. But the day never dawns in their world. That statistics itself is self explanatory.

If the motive is to make money, daralam ga vachi kontha venkeskuni vellochu (db lo athi ekkuva...if u have self discipline you can rent and save decent amount)

If the motive is to stay back and build career and family, ipudunna situation lo konchem tricky but thadu bongaram lekunda vache set ayyaru....if you are coming with job, you should be okay.
