Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has ‘several scenes of domestic abuse in which men strike, humiliate, coerce and manipulate women’: British censors

Ranbir Kapoor's film Animal has been rated 18 (suitable for adults only) by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). Mild plot spoilers were also revealed.

After receiving an ‘A’ rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film Animal has been rated 18 (suitable for adults only) by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The film’s description on the site delves into intense violence, including instances of sexual and domestic violence, and reveals mild spoilers.

The film’s synopsis on the website details, “This dark Hindi language action drama charts a man’s relentless pursuit of twisted revenge at all costs. Fight scenes are sustained and gory, domestic abuse is thematic, and there are isolated moments of sexual abuse.”

The movie receives a full five points for ‘violence’. The description of the violence reads: “A man uses a knife to saw at another’s throat. A man uses meat cleavers to murder two prisoners. There is a frenzied stabbing. There are several scenes of domestic abuse in which men strike, humiliate, coerce and manipulate women and children. Fight scenes – in which guns, blades and fists are used – are sustained and bloody.”

The film is given three points in the ‘threat and horror’ category, and the description reads, “There are moderate scenes of threat, including when a man puts a pistol into another’s mouth. A man points a gun at a pregnant woman. A teenager takes a gun into a school to intimidate bullies.”

The film received four points for profanity. Scenes portraying sexual violence and threat also scored four points. The description reads, “A bloodied murderer lies on top of his new wife in front of wedding guests. It is implied that he means to rape another woman. A man has sex with a woman as a ruse to make her fall in love with him, following which he humiliates her.”

Though Animal’s trailer has created excitement among fans, the scene featuring Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters in the trailer has brought back memories of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s last two films, Arjun Reddy and its Hindi adaptation Kabir Singh, which were called out by the audience for glorifying toxic masculinity. The descriptions shared on BBFC website make it clear that Sandeep’s new film might not be any different.

In real world from 2 decades women are torturing men .. domestic violence.. sexual abuse, toxic relationships and what not ..

Vanga movies are quite opposite to it showing muscular dominant..strong attitude.. that's a winning formula..mens will make them blockbusters ..

These movies are much needed in society now

more free advertising for the film. some people never learn.

atleast start your complaints after the movie is released, and it becomes a huge hit, so you can make money off its success, by complaining against it.

now you are simply increasing the chatter around it, and making sure its a hit.

vanga is an idiot, and no one with a working brain cell will go to his movie anyway.

Those are part n parcel of female sustainability training procedures backhome antaademo vanga sir....🤣

vanga is simply a representative of the 'new India', where saying/making dumb things over and over, makes it come true eventually. Its the mob effect.

he doesn't have to create an interesting character, an interesting plot. Just throw in some stuff that the 'woke' crowd will hate, and they will promote it for you free of cost.

and the undereducated, illiterate fans will lap it all up, because it incenses the 'woke' crowd.

one dumbfcuk here @dasari4kntr even brought up 'woke' out of nowhere in the middle of his attempt to expose vegan hypocrisy. As if there are no sanghis, fascists, nazis, misogynists that are vegan. That's how fried Indian's brains are

Imagine Indian fcuktards pretending like they are living under decades of women's liberation movements, while probably none of them will actually clean their own toilets back home.

vanga is making movies for that asshole crowd. They get excited when they see that there are scenes of domestic violence, humiliation of women, and sexual abuse.
